Membership of the African Studies Association of Australasia and the Pacific includes subscription to The Australasian Review of African Studies, invitations to the annual conference, regular email notification of events, publications and other African interest issues.

We prefer payment in Australian dollars. If you send a cheque in another
currency, for example American dollars or British Pounds Sterling, please add
another AUD$20 to the amount to cover the bank charges that we must pay to
transfer the amount into Australian currency.
Donations are
kindly accepted.
Each year we ask members to donate to the Annual Conference Visitors from
Africa fund. We are dependent on all members contributing to ensure the
financial viability of the Association. Please encourage others with an interest
in African Studies to join. If you teach at a University or other institution please
encourage the Librarian to consider organisational membership of AFSAAP, thus
ensuring their library receives copies of the peer-reviewed journal,
The Australasian Review of African Studies.
GST:
As a non-profit organisation with annual income below $50,000, AFSAAP is not
required to collect Goods and Services Tax (GST) on income that it receives such
as membership fees.
